上海财经大学（简称上海财大，Shanghai University of Finance and Economics），于1917年始建，坐落于上海市，是中华人民共和国教育部直属的的研究型重点大学，国家首批世界一流学科建设高校，国家“211工程”“985工程优势学科创新平台”重点建设高校。其原名上海财经学院，1985年更为现名。
该校以经济管理学科为主，经、管、法、文、理、哲等多学科协调发展，入选国家“111计划”、卓越法律人才教育培养计划、国家级大学生创新创业训练计划、国家经济学基础人才培养基地，全国首批博士、硕士学位授予单位，中国自由贸易试验区协同创新中心牵头单位，中欧商校联盟创始会员，由教育部、财政部和上海市三方共建。

Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (hereinafter referred to as Shanghai University of Finance and Economics), founded in 1917, is located in Shanghai. It is a key research-oriented University under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It is one of the first national universities with world-class discipline construction. Key universities of "Project 211" and "985 Project Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform". Originally named Shanghai Institute of Finance and Economics, it was renamed in 1985.
The university focuses on economics and management with coordinated development of economics, management, law, liberal arts, science, philosophy and other disciplines. It has been selected into the national "111 Plan", the Excellent Legal Talents Education and Training Plan, the National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Plan for College Students, the National Basic Economic Talents Training Base, and one of the first national doctorate and master degree awarding units. Co-Innovation Center of China Pilot Free Trade Zone, founding member of China-Europe Business School Alliance, is jointly built by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance and Shanghai Municipal Government.
